A
Brief History On Cells Phones
Author: Logan Rokwild
Article:
The concept of the cell phone was created in the
late 1940's.
Scientists concluded that with small cells with
frequency reuse
they could create such a thing as a mobile phone.
The technology that existed at this time however meant that this was
impossible. The Bell corporation is responsible
for the concept
of the <ahref="http://information-researcher.info/?cat=43">mobile
phone</a>, but only for use in cars. The
first inventor of a
portable cell phone is considered to be Dr. Martin
Cooper who
made his first cell phone call in 1973. He made
his call to his
rivals at Bell who were closely competing with him
to win the
cellular technology race.
In 1977 the model cell phone was created
and given to over 2000 trial costumers. Tests continued on cell
phones throughout the late 1970's and early 1980's. In 1982 cell
phones wer finally approved for public use in the United
States. The cell
phone became in great demand among consumers and
by 1987 the
airways were filled with cell phone frequencies.
Since the FCC
refused to allow the cell phone industry have any
more
bandwidth, cell <ahref="http://credit-phone-services.info/">phone companies</a>
began expanding and improving their technology.
Today, cell
phones are found in virtually every household and
many people
could not imagine life without them. We now have
phones that
include gimmicks such as camera phones, phones
that download
music, video camera phones and text messaging. The
cell phone
services have come along way since the idea was
thought of in
1947, and we have Dr. Martin Cooper and Joel Engel
to thank.
